Pan Size Converter. Use the actual product label and your measured quantities. Starting values are editable examples, not universal rates or product specifications. Keep the units beside each input.
Method and practical checks
- Round area = π × diameter² ÷ 4; rectangular area = length × width. One cubic centimetre equals one millilitre.

| Original pan shape | Round | |
|---|---|---|
| Inside diameter | 20 | cm |
| Inside length | 25 | cm |
| Inside width | 20 | cm |
| Batter fill depth | 4 | cm |
Method and assumptions
round_area = pi*(diameter/2)**2; rectangle_area=length*width; scale=new_area/old_area
Scale by usable batter volume, not nominal outside pan dimensions. Fill depth must leave the headroom required by the recipe.
If fill depth is unchanged, the ratio reduces to the area ratio. Baking temperature, time and structural limits are not scaled automatically.
Round area = π × diameter² ÷ 4; rectangular area = length × width. One cubic centimetre equals one millilitre.
Example with the selected inputs
- Pan area: 314.159 cm²
- Batter volume: 1256.637 ml
Change the inputs to match your own task. Whole packages are rounded up after allowances, so purchase quantity and actual requirement can differ. Apply each allowance once.
