Resin Casting Calculator
Calculate mould fill and split the batch using the product’s stated volume or weight mixing ratio.
Method and practical checks
- Volume ratios cannot be used as weight ratios. Follow the product’s batch-size, temperature and safety instructions.

Every calculation option
Mix by volume
Use net mould capacity, excluding embedded objects.
- Volume ratios cannot be used as weight ratios. Follow the product’s batch-size, temperature and safety instructions.
Mix by weight
Use the mixed-product density supplied for your resin system.
- The example density is not a product value. Required mass = volume × entered mixed density; divide mass using the manufacturer’s weight ratio.
Worked example
Four moulds of 270 ml with a 10% allowance need 1,188 ml of mixed resin. At a 1:1 volume ratio that is 594 ml of each part.

Reading the result
- Use volume ratios with measuring cups and weight ratios with scales; mixing a weight ratio by volume ruins the cure.
- Large pours can overheat; follow the product’s maximum pour depth and batch size.
- Work in a ventilated space with the protection listed on the product safety data sheet.
